Multi Directional Forging Hydraulic Press Series

Multidirectional forging process:after the closed impression die is set, several punches simultaneously or successively press the billet from different directions. This results in obtaining complex-shaped forgings with multiple branches in a single heating and press stroke. Essentially, this process combines extrusion and forging, where some metal flows parallel to the punch movement direction while other metal flows at certain angles to the punch movement direction. Multidirectional forging can avoid flash formation, save raw material, reduce forging steps, and improve forging precision and mechanical properties.
